Stormwater360 (SW360) is an environmental engineering company providing highly effective, user-friendly products and services for stormwater management. Their growing success is the result of a team of motivated, experienced professionals who focus on working with the client to supply the best value solutions for the management of stormwater.

The company was originally started in 1996 by a group of students with a dream for cleaner oceans and who were armed with a single product, the Enviropod. Over the last 15 years, the company has grown to be well-known and respected throughout New Zealand for the design, supply, installation and maintenance of its range of stormwater management products.

Recently Stormwaer360 have adopted another approach to stormwater management and have developed a range of ‘UrbanGreen’ Low Impact Design (LID) solutions. LID is a new approach to managing stormwater runoff and is based on the principle of mimicking nature. Green roofs are one of the key LID solutions and SW360 have partnered with LiveRoof® LLC, USA to bring the first live roof hybrid modular green roof system to New Zealand and Australia.

The LiveRoof® green roof system is the most biologically sophisticated green roof solution and the first pregrown module system of its type to enter the New Zealand market.

Manufactured with 100 percent recycled plastics, LiveRoof modules are compatible with different types of flat roof systems and single-ply roof membranes. The modules are installed on top of a waterproofing membrane on the roof deck, creating an instant green roof.

The key point of difference with a Live Roof system is that it goes up with mature plants in modules that form a green roof as a dense, seamless planted surface. . There’s no uncertainty about plant establishment with LiveRoof. Planting options include sedums and succulents as well as a range of native ground covers, grasses and sedges.
