International Leak Detection NZ Ltd
Company Profile
International Leak Detection (ILD®) is your troubleshooting authority for waterproofing membrane defects. Serving clients worldwide, our certified inspectors perform non-destructive integrity tests on new or existing waterproofing membranes and containment liners using our pinpoint-accurate Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM®) technology. This rigorous technology, combined with our multilateral services, provides superior detection of all waterproofing defects and breaches.
Even the smallest puncture, membrane split or mechanical default can cause severe and costly structural decay, interior damages, wet insulation and mold. Only ILD® can offer proven expertise and advanced proprietary technology for unparalleled leak detection you can depend on.
Product Details
International Leak Detection (ILD®) holds license for a system that allows breach detection of existing membranes on concrete substrates, without necessity of removing tiles, paving, hotmix or garden materials. It can also be used on new applications to test the integrity of new membranes over concrete or plywood, prior to covering with overlays or over-burden; or at any time in the future should the cable be permanently installed.
The Electric Field Vector Mapping (EFVM) technology uses a low voltage electric current across a pre-wetted surface. Any breaches in the membrane allow an electrical connection with the substrate. This connection can be accurately located using the EFVM probes and potentiometer.
- Green roof and garden membranes can be tested prior to placement of the overburden
- A cable can be permanently secured prior to placement of the overburden to enable the membrane to be tested at any time in the future
- Our Leak detection technology is currently being used by membrane installers, main contractors, building owners and green roof specifiers in: Europe, Asia, North America, South America, New Zealand and Australia
